Immigrants, saving America's cities

Well, looky here. Some of America's major cities could be losing population to the tune of hundreds of thousands of people. They're not, and why not? Immigration.
Without immigration, the Los Angeles, California, metro area would have lost more than 200,000, the San Francisco, California, area would have lost 188,000 and the Boston, Massachusetts, area would have lost 101,000.

As important as immigrants are to America, one would think that we could be gracious enough to be a little more welcoming.

Illegal Immigrants are wrecking the American way of life. For those seeking the Land of the Free, they do it legally the same way most of America did. Is that so much to ask? With illegals doing the same work Americans do only 65% cheaper (not better) its no wonder why there are massive layoffs across corporate America, unions are all but gone, and poverty and hunger are on the rise here in America. America: the place of hopes and dreams for everyone but Americans. Ther is no social security left for those who have paid the price for years becuase it is being stolen from us. It is high time America started to take care of itself and its' fredoms. First thing, stop the internal bleeding and send illegal immigrants packing!

I'm strongly in favor of legal immigration, but I don't think a blanket forgiveness of illegal immigrants is at all the right thing to do.

So many are doing the hard thing (becoming citizens the legal way) which is expensive, time-consuming, and difficult.

What message do we send to people who have correctly and legally entered the USA if we simply wave a magic wand and forgive everyone?

NO. Do it right, or be deported. Know that you are welcome here, but you must play by the rules.

Make immigration less of a legal nightmare. Welcome folks. Kick out the lawbreakers. It seems simple enough.
